Kirstin Covelli Shelton Joins Octo as Vice President of Human Resources

Former ICF and SAIC HR executive will lead HR functions and help guide strategic planning for Octo.

October 13, 2020, RESTON, Va. – Octo announced today that Kirstin Covelli Shelton has joined the company as Vice President of Human Resources. In this role, Shelton will participate in strategic planning and developing human capital solutions for Octo along with leading the HR function to include total rewards, employee relations, and talent and performance management initiatives.

With a strong background supporting organizations that serve the Federal Government, Shelton comes with a long history of leading HR functions at ICF as Senior Director, Human Resources and SAIC in progressive senior HR roles. Over her 15+ years of experience, Shelton has overseen talent management, total rewards, performance management, and labor and employee relations. She has lead performance management programs to promote employee development and career pathing, while aligning business and human capital strategies for organizations with more than 15,000 employees. In addition, she was responsible for talent management efforts for multiple merger and acquisition (M&A) activities. Shelton holds a B.S. in Economics and Sociology from SUNY at Buffalo State College and Certifications in Human Resources and Employee Relations from Cornell.
