The Problem:

The Economic Census involves collecting and processing information from more than 21 million businesses. Moving forward to 2012 and beyond, the leadership realized that the program needed to evaluate the architecture of the system and determine a new target state.

The Solution:

Octo took an Enterprise Architecture perspective when supporting the customer. The project started with an assessment of the current state of the critical business needs for any target state architecture decisions. It was followed by an alternatives analysis of conceptual architectures and detailed solution architecture. Octo subsequently supported the definition of a target state standard using facilitated sessions with helped create architecture governance boards by bridging technologists and executives.
